Our little town of Penguin in NW Tasmania has a population of just 5000 but it celebrates all the seasons and festivities.
The Big Penguin has a large wardrobe!
So now he is dressed to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
Our annual Christmas Parade takes place on December 17th and is hosted by the local Lions Club.
It is always well attended and about 12 or so floats pass through the Main Road thronged with hundreds of locals and visitors.
Penguin has it all – the Big Penguin, beautiful beaches, scenic esplanade, wonderful cafes and shops, its own Visitor Centre, its own Art Gallery and much more.
There is no other place quite like it – so Yes, it is unique.
Merry Christmas to All of You Who will go to sleep here in Penguin on Christmas eve and wake up to Christmas Day here.
It will surely be a special day.
